To help hoteliers and hospitality players understand how the pandemic has altered traveler behaviors, Indochina Capital and Wink Hotels conducted a Vietnam traveler survey, which revealed key information on travel trends and preferences amid the pandemic.
The survey was undertaken in first tier cities of Vietnam in mid-August 2020, just after the second surge of Covid-19 infections.
Key highlights include:
- 68% of respondents say they intend to travel again by Q4 2020
- 64% of travelers rely on online travel agencies to conduct their bookings
- 53% of business travelers are willing to pay up to VND 1.5 million/night
- Danang is a top destination for both leisure and business travelers
- 94% of respondents believe that sanitizing stations throughout a hotel is important or very important
