Indochina Capital and Wink Hotels assess habits and preferences of Vietnam travelers

To help hoteliers and hospitality players understand how the pandemic has altered traveler behaviors, Indochina Capital and Wink Hotels conducted a Vietnam traveler survey, which revealed key information on travel trends and preferences amid the pandemic.  

 

 

The survey was undertaken in first tier cities of Vietnam in mid-August 2020, just after the second surge of Covid-19 infections.

 

Key highlights include:

  • 68% of respondents say they intend to travel again by Q4 2020
  • 64% of travelers rely on online travel agencies to conduct their bookings
  • 53% of business travelers are willing to pay up to VND 1.5 million/night
  • Danang is a top destination for both leisure and business travelers
  • 94% of respondents believe that sanitizing stations throughout a hotel is important or very important
